Some of the locations in San Diego county now offer gluten-free pizza crusts. The Carmel Mountain and Linda Vista locations has the GF pizza, and the La Jolla location does not. It is recommended to call first. They caution that their restaurants are not gluten-free environments, and the pizzas are all cooked in the same oven.

First, we have opened a new zpizza in Chula Vista. We are extremely proud that our zpizza Chula Vista restaurant has been built with a dedicated gluten-free only refrigerated prep station, totally separate from our non gluten-free preparation area.
 
Second, we have dramatically lowered our price on gluten free pizzas. All gluten free pizza prices have been reduced, typically by a minimum of $3/pizza.

Dante and staff generously served lots of their GF pizza - 3 different varieties - at the SD CSA support group meeting in May, 2009. It was a big hit with everyone!

"Shelby and I discovered a new pizza place that offers GLUTEN FREE pizza. Z PIZZA  is actually all over the place, we go to the one in the Linda Vista area where on Monday Nights they have BUY ONE GET ONE FREE!! RMJ's note: The second pizza is now $5 as reported above.

It is GREAT pizza, they have about 8 varieties. They are totally aware of how to prepare it all separately and cook it on their own pans. We totally love it!

I don't know if they all have that Monday night special but if you go on their web sight www.zpizza.com and sign up they will e-mail you a $5.00 off coupon.  
 
I really like the fact that there is about 20 restaurants they're everywhere,check them out!!"

"My girlfriend and I enjoyed g-f pepperoni pizza at ZPizza in Mt. View yesterday! It was absolutely delicious! And affordable, too. I paid about $11 for a personal pan pepperoni pizza (which is perfect for one person), and the $11 also included a soft drink. They are located at: 146 Castro St., Mountain View, CA 94041, (650) 314-0088.

They do take special precautions making the pizza because of cross contact issues. It takes a little longer than regular pizza, so be prepared to wait a bit. I am going to call in my order next time before heading over there so it will be ready by the time I arrive.

"ZPizza in Cary, NC has a delicious gf pizza! I had it last night - it was so good that I was afraid they had given me the wrong pizza. I am a sensitive celiac ... and I am NOT sick! No cross-contamination ... at least last night. They make their gf pizzas seperately in a pan with walls.
