Whole Foods is primarily a grocery store chain with an abundent number of gluten-free items (see SD Food Stores). Also available at both Whole Foods Stores in San Diego is a salad bar and a section of freshly-prepared ready-to-eat food dishes. Each dish has a detailed sign posted listing all ingredients in the dish. You can get the food in containers to go or eat at the tables provided in the stores. The worry is cross-contamination, as always!
