Reminder: The menu items listed below were reported by the restaurant. However, they should only be considered as a starting off place for choosing items. You must take the responsibility of being vigilant by always reconfirming the GF status of a menu item and addressing cross-contamination issues each and every time.

Taco Bell includes a "Food Allergens & Sensitivites" chart in their nutrition section of their website that lists if items contain gluten. It was prepared July of 2006. The rice and pinto beans are listed as gluten free. However, at the bottom there are five items listed that with modification are recommended for gluten-free diners.

Warning: The following note is stated on the the Taco Bell website:

"The allergen information displayed on this site is based on standard product formulations and is current as of March 1, 2005. Variations may occur due to differences in suppliers, ingredient substitutions, recipe revisions, and/or product production at the restaurant."

Comment:

"My brother started working at Taco Bell a few months ago. One of the first things he noticed was that there was NO way a GF person could safely eat there because of all the cross-contamination. So, we don't eat no stinkin' Taco Bell." Poster to SillyYak site, 10/07

Locations: Please see their website as there are many locations within the San Diego area.
