The following information was sent from Ritual Tavern in January of 2008.
" Here are some basics about our menu: We do have gluten free items here at the Ritual.
- Our shepherd's pie is gluten free in both the vegan and lamb recipes.
- We have mussels in white wine with garlic and shallots and 100% organic salad to begin. Instead of beer battered veggies we can sautee them.
- The entree proteins ie. lamb sirloin, Jidori chicken, pork loin are free of gluten with the exception of the Beer Battered Catfish. (One of our employees has it griddled and served with salad instead of fries)
- Most of our vegetable sides are gluten free, with the exception of the potato dumplings. (It's always good to ask first, as things could change in the future. We can accommodate some special requests, but it can increase the preparation time.)
- For dessert our sorbet and gelato are also gluten free.
We've
had people with mild gluten allergies who can have deep fried
items. Currently we have only one deep fryer, so it's
used for beer battered veggies and fish. If your sensitivity
issues are mild you can have french fries, seasoned gluten
free onion rings, and fried catfish.) RJ's note: Please
remember that a person with celiac disease should never have
items cooked in oil that have also been used to cook items
containing gluten.
We also serve a Belgian gluten-free beer
called Green's Discovery Amber. " Thanks, Mike
