"I decided to call first. I'm glad I did. Here is what the manager told me:

While the pork and steak are GF, they are grilled on the same grill as everything else. So not only is cross-contamination a problem, but their grills are "seasoned" with vegetable oil. So beware if you are soy allergic. They do, however, have extra pans in which your food could be cooked if you request - although, you would still have to request no vegetable oil.

As for the potatoes served as a side dish, I forgot to ask if they are dusted in flour or not. But they ARE fried. And most likely in the same fryer as other foods. Also is vegetable oil, so impossible for us soy allergy people.

When I asked about what sides could be replaced for the potatoes, he said "pasta". Guess he doen't quite get the gluten thing. When I reminded him about the gluten, he offered the broccolli. I asked about how it was prepared, expecting some kind of vegetable oil. He told me they blanch the broccolli IN THE PASTA WATER!!!"

Several people have written to the listserv that the brocolli served with some of the meals is blanched in the pasta water. 5/05 Roxie, L.J.

"When I went to Olive Garden in Princeton, N.J. the manager (whose sister has CD) said that it is not CD friendly. Even the grilled chicken has flour." 5/05 Unknown person to SillyYaks group..
