"We know dealing with gluten intolerance can be very difficult and Dairy
Queen would like to help you enjoy your favorite Dairy Queen treats while
still following a safe diet. We hope the following information will be of
assistance to you. If you are looking for something other than the
products listed, please check out our nutrition calculator at the link
below.
http://dairyqueen.com/us-en/eats-and-treats/nutrition-calculator/
Our nutrition calculator offers nutrition, ingredients, and allergen
information for all approved products within the Dairy Queen system. The
nutrition calculator is continually updated with the newest information on
products and promotions; as we strive to provide the most accurate,
up-to-date information.
We are proud to inform you that both our DQ vanilla and chocolate soft
serve are gluten-free, in addition to our Arctic RushT slush. Additionally
the following toppings are gluten-free: Chocolate, Hot Fudge, Marshmallow,
and Strawberry.
You may also want to try our one of our vanilla, mocha, or caramel
MooLattes® without whipped topping.
Additionally, our supplier of manufactured novelties informs us that the
following items are also gluten-free: DQ® Fudge Bar, DQ® Vanilla Orange
Bar, Dilly® Bar and Buster® Bar(look for this in a sealed plastic wrap to
ensure it is a manufactured Dilly Bar or Buster® Bar), Starkiss Bars
If you would like to try one of our famous Blizzard treats, you may want
to refer to the following list of gluten-free Blizzard: Reese's® Peanut
Butter Cup Blizzard, Butterfinger® Blizzard, Heath® Blizzard, M&M® Blizzard, Banana Split Blizzard, Hawaiian Blizzard, Tropical Blizzard,
Strawberry Blizzard
Please know many of our Blizzard candies and toppings contain wheat, rye,
oats, and/or barley and would not be safe for a customer with gluten
intolerance. As the Blizzard machine is used for all flavors,
cross-contact may occur on any flavor Blizzard. So for your safety, we
recommend notifying the Dairy Queen staff of your allergy or intolerance
and requesting they thoroughly clean the Blizzard machine before blending
your Blizzard to reduce the risk of cross-contact.
From our Brazier food line, I would recommend trying our Homestyle® and
GrillBurgersT, Grilled Chicken, or our hot dogs, all prepared without a
bun.
Certain Dairy Queen restaurants use a soft serve mix that varies from the
mix used by restaurants in the rest of the country and on which this
information is based. Please know some Dairy Queen restaurants also sell
food that is not the licensed Brazier line of food products. This
information on food products applies only to the Brazier products served
by authorized Brazier restaurants. Please check all of this information
regarding food and treats with your local restaurant.
Please note that as Dairy Queen stores and restaurants are very busy and
there is always a chance of cross contact of gluten in any DQ product. To
reduce the risk, please mention the nature of your allergy to the DQ crew
member before placing your order.

"Our local Dairy Queen replaces the cookie crumble with crushed M & Ms , this was their suggestion. Most Dairy Queens have their cakes sent to them. Our local one makes the cakes at their store." SillyYaks site 1/09
"i worked at a DQ for three years and if i were you i wouldn't touch anything but the ice cream or dilly bars no krunch or nuts they dip the cones in them the chocolate hot fudge carmel are ok but NO BLIZZARDS SHAKES OR misty freezes id watch the mistys too because if the misty stuff doesn't mix right they stick it under the blizzard machine to mix it up and the blizzards no matter how much they clean the blender a lot of cross contamination happens with the candy and the spoons they use to get them." "D.Q. ice cream cakes are made almost entirely of g/f ice cream. However,
in the center, they generally put a thin layer of chocolate fudge, mixed with
cookie crumbs. I spoke with the manager of our local D.Q. this afternoon, and
she will substitue a layer of chopped M&Ms for the chocolate fudge/cookie
crumb mixture, and then she will check all other ingredients (for the decorations)
to make sure they are g/f, and will make a g/f ice cream cake for me. I am
so excited!"
