Reminder: You must take the responsibility of being vigilant by always reconfirming the GF status of a menu item and addressing cross-contamination issues each and every time.
A complete list of which products do or do not contain gluten can be found at

Further, on their website in the Ice Cream FAQ section Cold Stone states "Cake Batter, Cinnamon bun, Cookie Dough, and Oatmeal Cookie Batter ice creams contain gluten. In addition, any candies that have a flour companent to them also contain gluten. Although we take precautions by cleaning the mixing stone often, we cannot guarantee that residual products containing gluten will not accidentally be mixed into your ice cream."

"My Silly turns 6 tomorrow and our local Dairy Queen was less than
helpful at adapting a cake for our needs. I asked if they were unable
or unwilling to substitute out the cookies. They said "Unwilling. We
make one cake and one cake only. Sorry."
So, I checked around and found Cold Stone not only was willing to make
a cake, but have a laminated list of their toppings, mix-ins, etc...,
with allergen and sensitivity information. "No Gluten" was written
across the top of the order sheet in big letters when I left.
So, my little one is getting a mint layer, m&ms in the middle, vanilla
on top, icing, rainbow sprinkles, marshmallows and Happy Birthday on a
cake. She is thrilled and so am I!!
Cold Stone is a little expensive so we don't go often. When we go,
they get our ice cream from the back and open whatever candy/topping
(we don't mix-in in case of CC on the marble slab) we want right in
front of us."

The Cold Stone near me is WONDERFUL. You can look online at their website to see which ice creams and which add-ins are gluten free. When you go there, they get the ice cream from the back and they mix in the add-ins on a separate stone just for allergens. It's great."

"we go to cold stone all the time, of course we know the manager. they have a list of allergens in the back that they bring out for us or my store in Alaska does. they also mix the ice-cream in a bowl instead of the counter to prevent cross contamination. also they get new utensils. Now there is still a cross contamination issue with the ingredients or add ins so you have to be careful and make sure you pick one that isn't close to others that are really bad but we usually do just fine with all the precautions we take."
There are many locations throughout San Diego County. Refer to their web site or the phone book.
