"Are you interested in Dunkin donuts information, Baskin Robbins or Togos gluten information for our products? If you have any questions please feel free to call us at 1-800-859-5339."

Baskin Robbins lists the top 8 allergens in front of each flavor in their stores, as well as on their website nutrition/allergy information section. http://www.baskinrobbins.com/Nutrition/allergen.aspx This only gives information about wheat, not gluten. The website does list all of the ingredients in each flavor as well, which should make it evident if malt/barley is in the ice cream.

Evidently some Baskin Robbins will do all-ice-cream cakes on request:

"I tried to order one for my daughter in January and found that you need to pre-order the cake about a week in advance. You might want to talk to them well ahead of when you need the cake."

IKEA

IKEA is a large store that sells home furnishings. The restaurant on the second floor sells slices of a gluten-free almond torte in the dessert case. There are two flavors: Almond Torte and Almond Torte with Daim. These tortes were previously labeled "gluten free" in the display case, but the last time they were not. However, both of these tortes, called “Almondy: Original Swedish Almond Torte” are labeled gluten free on their packaging. They are for sale in the freezer section of the food section near checkout.

Also look for a product called "Krusball" (individual puffs of light cocnut flavored marshmallows), and Classic Cocosball (coconut flavored marshmallow coated with chocolate) in the food section by checkout that are labeled gluten free as well.

The following information was given by a Customer Service Department representative for Starbucks via telephone. They require you to call to receive information about their gluten-free menu items, rather then email.

Not GF:
Any frappachino with "chips" (Java Chip or Chocolate Chip)

Cafe Vanilla Frappachino and Vanilla Bean Cream Frappachino. These both contain the Vanilla Bean Powder, which is produced in an area that also produces gluten-containing items. The uncontaminated Vanilla Bean Powder would be gluten-free, according to the rep.

Eggnog drinks These are only on the menu during the holiday season. They may or may not be gluten-free, depending on the local suppliers.
All other beverages are gluten free (as long as they don't have any of the "chips").

Note: Although Starbucks routinely rinses pitchers after each drink is made, the customer service representative said gluten-free customers can request that the pitcher go through a sanitizer before their drink is made.

Comment

"This explains why I had a bunch of canker sores awhile back, after trying a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino. No wonder they taste so good!

I would recommend, however, for the workers to clean out the Frappuccino blenders/cups/etc. because if they used a gluten flavor ahead of you, it's more than likely contaminated. Here in Casper, they rinse them out, but don't use soap, that I have noticed. Also, when I asked about the regular Chocolate Chip flavor at the store, the girl went back and grabbed a bag of chocolate chips - wheat flour was an ingredient. I don't know about you all, but the chocolate chips I buy at Wal-Mart do not contain gluten - why do the Starbucks ones have to? My husband said that flavor is delicious."
